Even though Barfi didn’t make it past the nomination stage for an Academy award, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor remains optimistic and hopeful. The hottie believes more Bollywood movies will be up for the Oscars very soon.

We hear co-star Priyanka Chopra reacted like a child when she found out about their movie Barfi not doing so well. Ranbir on the other hand, didn’t let the failure affect him. He’s extremely confident and believes Bollywood will have 5 movies running up for nominations in the near future.

That’s the spirit Ranbir! Never give up *wink*

Nonetheless–Barfi was still a fantastic movie.

Who took home an Oscar?

From Adele’s magnificent performance, to Jennifer Lawrence’s embarrassing fall, to Ben Affleck’s emotional speech, it was a night full of events at the Oscars.

It was definitely an emotional ride for me.  Anurag Basu directed the film. Priyanka Chopra plays the female lead role – the character of an autistic girl. Barfi is nominated for an Oscar under the foreign movie category.  It made collections of Rs. 100 crore at the box office.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan:  This being the last movie directed by the late Yash Chopra.  Shah Rukh Khan’s intense emotions, Katrina and Anushka Sharma’s delicate performance helped the film collected Rs. 120 crores at the box office.  The film beautifully captured Kashmir Valley and was also shot partly in London.

Bol BachanBol Bachan is a remake of 1979 film Gol Maal.  Rohit Shetty is the director of the film.  Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgan played the lead roles.  The film collected more than Rs. 100 crore at the box office.

Paris heads to Mumbai for some charity work

Paris Hilton, who is now officially a international socialite, headed to Mumbai for some good ol’ charity work and prayer time. She started off her trip with Goa, where she Dj’d and walked the ramp for designers Shane and Falguni Peacock, at the India Resort Fashion Week with boyfriend River Viiperi.

According to sources, she will visit an orphanage in Bandra and then head over to the famous Siddhivinayak temple for some spiritual healing.

Good to see Paris doing something other than partying and dancing on tables.

All set for ‘Zanjeer’ remake

The classic 1973 Bollywood movie ‘Zanjeer’ will be on the silver screen once again. Director Apoorva Lakhia, who recently finished the first schedule of the remake of 1973 film Zanjeer, says actress Priyanka Chopra joined back in September. Ram Charan Teja will be taking the male lead role, once played by Bollywood icon, Amitabh Bachchan. Nice! They both have large shoes to fill. Lets hope they don’t completely butcher this movie. Wow, Priyanka still seems to have it together. With her new album release and film projects, I’m surprised she even has the time to do another movie this year! According to sources, the movie has yet to set a release date, but it will be sometime in early 2013.

Deepika looks stunning

The diva was photographed wearing this traditional Anarkali ensemble with pretty pink lips, at Amitabh Bachchan’s 70th birthday bash.  It’s refreshing to see the gorgeous babe in traditional attire (for once.) With Deepika’s stunning figure, she can pull off anything. Well, almost anything. Lets not forget her serious fashion blunders in the past. Remember her boring outfit while promoting her Summer flick ‘Cocktail’, with Saif Ali Khan?
