Was Jiah Khan MURDERED?????

In something straight out of a 1940’s Hollywood film noir, Indian forensic experts are now saying that a reexamination of the recently deceased actress Jiah Khan‘s remains revealed signs of a struggle. Though news stories had not long ago painted the young thespian’s struggles with depression following a faltering Bollywood career as motives for a suicide, her mother struggled violently against these initial assertions by both the media and Indian authorities. After Jiah Khan’s body was found in her Juhu Beach apartment speculation ran rampant that her flailing acting career and troubles with boyfriend Suraj Pancholi had led her to hang herself. A suicide note (claiming Suraj had raped Jiah, impregnated her, and then forced her to have an abortion) had also been found and Indian police even went so far as to arrest boyfriend Suraj for allegedly abetting the suicide.

Suraj was ultimately cleared of any wrongdoing and the scandal died down as yet another cautionary tale of a young ingenue who came to Bollywood with dreams of glamor only to taker her life when those dreams seemed to be faltering, but Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan would have none of it. After initially questioning the authenticity of the alleged suicide note, she then personally hired an independent forensic expert to reexamine the evidence, and has now publicly pointed the finger at Suraj Pancholi in the press. Rabia finally received the recognition of an Indian court that asked the authorities to reexamine the forensic evidence. Incidentally, Suraj is the famous scion of an acting family that includes his former actor father Aditya Pancholi and mother Zarina Wahab. He’s was scheduled to take his own turn on film by starring in the Salman Khan produced remake of Subhash Ghai‘s 1983 hit film ‘Hero‘ early next year, but those plans may have to be delayed.

Suraj and his family seemingly went on the offensive after he was cleared following Jiah’s June 3 suicide investigation. Suraj event went on to claim in interviews that Jiah was depressed at the time of her suicide, had tried to commit suicide previously (an attempt that Suraj says he stopped), that Jiah was abused by her ex-boyfriends, and had been raped by an older man when she was fourteen. His mother then went on the record as saying that Jiah Khan was too much in love with her son, suggesting an unhealthy connection for the deceased Jiah and Suraj.

Through it all, Rabia Khan would have none of it and her efforts may finally bear fruit. The independent forensic expert Rabia had hired, esteemed Dr. R K Sharma of the infamous Noida murder case, found that Jiah had 300 ml’s of alcohol in her stomach at the time of her death, meaning she was most probably incapacitated. This level of intoxication would make it very difficult for Jiah to hang herself as the Juhu Beach forensic experts had initially concluded. Dr. Sharma further suggested that an able bodied person would, however, be able to hang Jiah. He further found human tissue under Jiah’s fingernails and blood in Jiah’s nail clippings, suggesting a struggle right before her alleged suicide. Indian authorities at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) at Kalina, Mumbai agreed with Dr. Sharma’s conclusion in a recent report regarding the pre-death struggle assertions and will most probably order an exhumation of Jiah’s body for further examination according to sources.

No word on who the alleged murderer may be, but some sources have said authorities suspect someone “very close to Jiah” may have committed what is seemingly turning from a suicide to a homicide investigation. We here at World SannaKhan will have more news of this increasingly bizarre case as it is unfolds.

Salman Khan, who is facing his own charges involving a 2002 hit-and-run World Sanna Khan reported on earlier, has continued to back his young protege Suraj Pancholi despite all of the negative press surrounding the youth since his estranged girlfriend Jiah Khan‘s suicide.  Salman has asked Suraj’s parents not to comment on the pending charges facing their son for allegedly abetting Jiah’s suicide.

Suraj is ready to make his bollywood debut in a remake of the 1983 film ‘Hero‘, which Salman is co-producing with Subhash Gai. Although Salman hasn’t officially announced the project yet and has been busy dealing with his own dramas while filming his next flick ‘Mental‘ in Hyderabad, reports had a dejected Suraj meeting with Salman on set to seek guidance.

Suraj’s father, actor Aditya Pancholi, said “I can’t say anything (about the meeting with Salman or Suraj’s debut venture). It’s not like Salman bhai has barred us from speaking, but he has said, ‘Ab main bolunga (now I will talk)’. So we would rather keep quiet….” when asked about the meeting with Salman.

A black cloud seems to be hovering around Salman these days as he has been in the press recently for ‘Mental‘ co-star Sana Khan being charged for kidnapping, his own legal issues stemming from a 2002 hit-and-run, an entertainment reporter saying that Salman used his muscle to quash a report about the accident on his online blog, and trouble with his Romanian girlfriend Lulia Vantur‘s ex appearing in the news.  This is in addition to the bad press surrounding Salman’s 21-year old acolyte Suraj Pancholi.  One has to wonder if Salman has let the insular world of stardom go to his head….

Filmmakers Trying to Capitalize Off Publicity from Jiah Khan’s Suicide?!?

In a sad bit of news surrounding Jiah Khan‘s tragic June 3rd suicide, some filmmakers may be using this touchy subject matter as the basis for films!  Director Yogesh Jadhav has supposedly based his upcoming film ‘Nati‘ on Jiah’s life and death.  The film has Marathi actor Tejaa Deokar slated to play the title role and is slated for release this August.  Tejaa didn’t want to give away too much about the plot but said “People have this perception that actors have this good life. And when incidents like suicides occur, it is difficult to realize that there is so much pain and suffering behind the glossy facade.  I found the subject matter challenging and a bit risky too.”

Another filmmaker who is drawing parallels between his work and Jiah’s recent demise is debut ‘Bold Bollywood‘ director Rikshhit Matta.  Matta’s film, which stars Hazel Keech, Sandeepa Dhar, Shweta Bharadwaj, Rajpal Yadav and Manoj Joshi, is supposed to expose the seedy underbelly of Bollywood by delving into the lives of three actresses who’ve moved to Mumbai to make it in Bollywood.  He noted “One of the characters is similar to Jiah Khan and the ups and downs she went through in her career and life.”

While there may be many imitations or similar stories to Jiah Khan’s life, no official biopic has been announced or is shortly forthcoming so at this time audiences will have to sate their thirst for the tragic with imitations.

Jiah Khan’s Ex Boyfriend Suraj Pancholi Arrested for Abetting Suicide by Mumbai Police!

In a shocker of a development stemming from Jiah Khan‘s recent suicide, Mumbai police arrested Suraj Pancholi after confirming that the handwriting on a suicide note found by Jiah Khan‘s sister while looking for poetry for Jiah‘s funeral was Jiahs.  The six page suicide note detailed abuse, rape, and an abortion that allegedly occurred at the hands of Jiah‘s ex-boyfriend Suraj Pancholi and his father actor Aditya Pancholi.

Jiah‘s mother has reiterated that her death was not a suicide following a faltering Bollywood career.  Jiah first shot to prominence in the 2007 Bollywood film ‘Nishabd‘ as a teenager in love with her friend’s father, played by Bollywood screen legend Amitabh Bachan.  Following that Jiah played in Aamir Khan‘s psychological thriller ‘Ghajini‘ and her most recent role was a supporting one in 2010’s comedy ‘Houseful‘.  Rumors were rampant that Jiah had taken her life over her stalled Bollywood career before the discovery of the shocking six page suicide note.

Legal experts say that a conviction for abetting suicide will be difficult to come by in this case as overwhelming evidence is usually necessary.  A 2010 Indian Supreme Court ruling stated that for an individual to be convicted of abetting suicide there must be instigation by that person to cause the suicide or “that there was a clear intention to commit the offense.”  Suraj Pancholi will be held by Mumbai police until June 13th.

Although many have speculated that this unfortunate turn of events may unwittingly lead to a film career after all for aspiring actor Suraj Pancholi, let’s hope that’s not true.  The old adage “there’s no such thing as bad publicity” should have it’s limits, especially when it comes to such a tragic case as this.

HERE IS A TIMELINE OF THE TRAGIC EVENTS AS THEY UNFOLDED:

Sylvester Stallone Thinks John Abraham Perfect to Play Indian ‘Rambo’

Rumors are flying round Hollywood that an unnamed Bollywood director is thinking of making an Indian version of ‘Rambo‘ with John Abraham as the headlining hero.  Sylvester Stallone himself approved of the idea and said “Actually, he’s built better than I ever was” when referring to Abraham according to an unnamed source.  The muscular Bollywood star is coming off the hit film ‘Shootout at Wadala‘ in which he played a somewhat heroic villain.

No word yet what war the hero of a Bollywood ‘Rambo‘ would be a veteran of as the original featured Stallone as a heroic Vietnam War vet.

So what do you think?  Does John Abraham have the muscle and swagger to pull off one of the most iconic ’80’s roles in a Bollywood adaptation?

Bollywood actress Jiah Khan was found dead at her residence last night around 11 pm.  The actress whose real name was Nafisa Khan, was reportedly depressed about her career and love life.

The body of 25-year-old Jiah Khan, was discovered on Monday evening at her home in Mumbai. She shared her house with her sister and mother, who reportedly found her body hanging.

Police are investigating and hoping to get answers after the post-mortem test reports arrive. Although an investigation is currently underway, Indian media suggests the reason Jiah took her life was due to a failed relationship with Suraj Pancholi, whom she had dated last year. The actress was supposedly heartbroken and wasn’t too happy with her career either.

Khan was the daughter of Indian-American Ali Rizvi Khan, and and Rabiya Amin a Hindi film actress from the 1980s. Khan’s Bollywood debut came in 2007  in the  controversial film Nishabd, based on the Vladimir Nabokov’s novel Lolita.

RIP Jiah.
