Deepika Padukone in Hot Water Over Controversial Campaign

Here’s the beautiful Deepika Padukone at the launch of her controversial short film called My Choice. The campaign was started by Vogue India to help promote women’s equality. However, the diva recently received some harsh reviews from her fellow Bollywood stars, among others who feel the film doesn’t encourage female empowerment but contradicts it instead.

Photo of the week: Beyonce Proves She is NOT Pregnant!

Looking uber hot in a Topshop crop top and striped pencil skirt, 31-year old Beyonce partied the night away with hubby Jay Z, at Miss Lily’s restaurant in New York for Kanye Wests 32nd birthday.

If this doesn’t put the pregnancy rumors to rest, then nothing will. You can clearly see Bey’s tummy is flat as a board, proving she isn’t pregnant after all!

Actress Divya Dutta gets Approached by ’24’

According to sources, actress Divya Dutta was approached to be a part of the television series 24, but turned down the offer because of her busy schedule.

Dutta was offered the role of Anil Kapoor’s wife but had to refuse due to her prior commitments.  We hear Divya hopes to get another opportunity to work with Anil very soon.

Divya was last seen in Dharma productions, Gippi.

Who wouldn’t want to work with Mr. Kapoor?

Karishma Kapoor turns Radio Jockey

The Bollywood diva is all set to take on the largest multimedia platform in India — the radio! According to sources, she will be dishing out tips on fashion, beauty and other women’s topics. The actress said, “Having worked in movies and also television, I was extremely keen to try a new medium- hence I decided to do radio. The Indian media scenario is constantly evolving and radio is the perfect medium for me to be closer to my fans than ever before. I am very excited about my radio debut. I will share some of my personal tips along with trends that I have observed and share them with my listeners. I am confident that my fans will continue to support me as I undertake this new journey and will enjoy the show even further.”

So this isn’t just about her switching it up. She feels she will be able to connect with her fans more. Well, I would have to agree with Karishma. Being a Radio Jockey myself, it does help you connect with people on a more personal level and you definitely have more of a voice than you would in other areas of entertainment. We wish Karishma the best of luck on her new journey!

Kangana flashes her derriere

It certainly wasn’t a wardrobe malfunction when Kangana Ranaut went commando for designer Gavin Miguel at Blender’s Pride Fashion week. The beauty walked the ramp in a long ivory, strapless, partially see-through gown, revealing more than what you’d expect from a Bollywood diva.

Make your eyes POP with “They’re Real! Mascara”

Introducing a jet-black mascara that lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts, and separates lashes for a spectacular “out-to-here” look.  Jet-black goes the extra “length” to give you long, strong, beautiful looking lashes with just one application.  Create that dramatic, sultry look in just seconds, with one of Benefit’s best creations.

What it does: This mascara features an exclusive brush specially designed to maximize the performance of the long-wearing, glossy formula revealing lashes you never knew you had! Staggered bristles grab close to the root, boosting length and volume beyond belief. The precision bristles on the custom-domed tip lift, define, and curl even your tiniest lashes. The end result is luxurious, silky lashes that won’t smudge, clump, or dry out.

If you follow my beauty articles on, under “Beauty Product Must haves,” you can see I am a eye makeup fiend. I highly recommend this mascara to any girl who enjoys dressing up her peekers, without the hassle of applying fake lashes.

Car Show 10-20-2012

Lets face it, we love cars. We love to drive them, and we like to show them off. That is exactly the purpose of a car show. I attended my very first car show last night, and got some amazing shots thanks to my photographer, Elizabeth. This was a vintage car show, where cars from the early 1930s to date, were displayed. Personally,I’ve never been intrigued with the history behind cars, but after speaking to some of the owners of the classic models, that all changed.

This showcase was displayed outside Rock n Roll Cafe, in Simi Valley, California.  I was talking to the owners asking them the make and models. We saw Plymouth Cudas, Special Buicks from the late 1930s to the 1970’s and trucks.

We met a owner of a classic plymouth 1976 cuda, named John, and he told us it isn’t easy to maintain these cars, because parts are rare and can cost $1000s’ to repair. Most people just keep them parked in their garage as collector items

As you can see in the 1930’s,  some of the automobile designs of this period in history were exceptionally artistic and sophisticated. Most of these vintage models are post World War 1.

LA STYLE Fashion Week 2012

LA Style fashion week was held at the Vibiana, in downtown Los Angeles from October 15 through out the 19th. This 5 day event provides both, fashion designers, and emerging fashion designers the opportunity to showcase their creations to the world. My talented photographer and I headed out there to get photos, and possible interviews with designers and models, and this is what we got.

A sneak peak of the set up before the guests arrive

The scene once the guests arrived

This event can definitely get overwhelming; there’s so much to take in all at once! My photographer, Elizabeth Woods, and I headed out to Vibiana around 7 pm and were stunned to see so many interesting people under one roof. Not only was the hall full of beautiful people from Los Angeles, it had people from all over the country. The event was full of Designers, Models and Press.  We scoped out the venue and took amazing shots of both the runway and the alluring enviorment surrounding us. The designers of the night were Louis Verdad and Dar Sara.  I was lucky enough to get a very brief interview in with Dar Sara. Originally from the Phillipines but also spending many years in Dubai, this designer is taking the world by storm by displaying his life story through his designs.

What inspires you to create?

What inspires me is Hollywood. The Stars inspire me; the glitz, the glamour and everything Hollywood.

Watching your show reminded me of a theatrical show; it had a dramatic powerful beginning and  it ended on calming, light note; such as a movie with a happy ending.  Why did you choose to display your work the way you did?

I chose to display my designs the way I did because it’s the story of my life. The struggles I first faced in the beginning and how I over came those struggles. I like to make sure that comes across in my work because it is who I am.

One last question before I let you go. Where is your line available?

It is available in the US and all over the world. You can check it out online

It was an amazing show and I highly recommend everyone to check out the Designers. Louis Verdad was simple, classy and sexy while Dar Sara displayed fantasy, unrestrained innovative opulence. Both designers showcased impeccable artistry and creative genius.

LA Style Fashion Week – DAY 2

Another day in the world of fashion here in downtown, Los Angeles. We headed out to Vibiana to check out the Madison Park Collective runway show. The day started off with collections by Paul Gibson and Jane Booke. The evening ended with ‘Local Social’ and ‘Madison Park.’ My talented photographer Elizabeth and I arrived just in time for the Madison Park collective.

It was a scene out of a magazine. The event-hall was decked out as always, and it flashed the designers logo on the screen. The lighting felt perfect and the ambiance was set for a night to remember. That being said, let me tell you about the [eye candy] that was in store for us. It’s a Fashion show, so of course there are going to be beautiful men everywhere — this was better than I could ever have expected.

The show started with the guys walking out wearing classic attire; signature Madison Park. Before you know it- the guys started dancing a little number to Michael Jackson’s “Beat it.” (That’s when everyone’s cameras came up.) This has got to be one of my top favorite shows so far this week.  The show was a success and the clothes were very tasteful. However, the real peak of the show was the flash-dance ending.
