I’m sure you’re asking yourself who the old man and the kid are and exactly what they have to do with the latest Jackass movie, ‘Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa‘, but there’s a perfectly good explanation for all of this.  Unfortunately, it’ll have to wait until after you watch this hilarious trailer….

Curious?  The old man is none other than Johnny Knoxville himself made up to look like octogenarian Irving Zisman with Jackson Nicoll co-staring as his grandson Billy.  The film was directed by Spike Jonze of ‘Being John Malkovich‘ fame and shows the reactions of the unsuspecting public to scripted scenes involving the accident prone grandfather and his hapless grandson as they make their way across America.

Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa‘ makes its way into theaters October 25, 2013. Two words… Can’t. Wait.

Arnold Eyes New Terminator Movie!

Looks like the ‘Terminator‘ isn’t only hard to kill in movies, it’s near impossible to kill in real life as Arnold Schwarzenegger is circling the role that made him famous with Paramount and Larry Ellison‘s producer children Megan and David along for the ride.

Not bad for a movie that James Cameron originally thought up while living in a small apartment in the San Fernando Valley after a nightmare in which a robot from the future had been sent to kill him.

The big question is if cyborgs age like regular humans as Schwarzenegger definitely doesn’t look like he did in 1984 when the original was made.

‘Mission: Impossible 5’ Confirmed

photo:moviehole.net

Mission: Impossible 5 has been confirmed with Tom Cruise again tackling the iconic role of Ethan Hunt.  No writers or directors are attached to the project yet but expect Star Trek’s J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions to be involved once again with Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions along for the ride as well.  The last installment of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol was the highest grossest one yet, earning almost $700 million worldwide, and has the distinction of being the highest grossing Cruise picture of all time, with the entire Mission Impossible film franchise having earned over $2 billion worldwide to date.  If you can recall, Cruise’s original turn as Ethan Hunt in the first Mission: Impossible was all the way back in 1996 and that film was based on the original 1966 TV series so this is a property that definitely has some legs!

In the Mission: Impossible series Cruise often does his own stunts, including running across the Burj Al Dubai for Ghost Protocol as seen in this incredible video, especially amazing considering the man’s 50!

I’ll leave you with this rather funny Ben Stiller/MTV Movie Awards spoof on Tom Cruise and Mission Impossible that includes the man himself, at least he has a good sense of humor about it all…

In non-sequel news, the Movie Don is looking forward to seeing Matt Damon star in Neil Blomkamp’s highly anticipated followup to his blockbuster District 9 called Elysium.  The sci-fi pic is set in a dystopian future and is slated to release this summer on August 9th.
