Bollywood Star Shah Rukh Khan Denied Entrance to 2 Multiplex Cinemas!

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was recently refused permission to promote his latest flick, Chennai Express at Mumbai mall multiplex cinemas.

It’s barely been 2 weeks since the release of Chennai Express, and the movie continues to break records at the box-office.  While the actor is busy promoting his film all over Mumbai, he ran into a little trouble at Mumbai mall multiplex cinemas. Reportedly, Shah Rukh declared that he was denied entry at not one, but TWO multiplex theaters in the city on Thursday.

According to sources, the theaters had tighten their rules to avoid large crowds which can potentially lead to chaos and put the public in danger. The theaters are putting the publics safety first and will not allow any promotions outside or inside the theaters.  Khan tweeted “Have been refrained by authorities from visiting PVR Phoenix Kurla and PVR Phoenix Lower Parel..Will see you at the other enlisted theaters.” Have to avoid visiting PVR Phoenix Kurla and PVR Phoenix Lower Parel. Independence day rush etc. Will see you at rest of the enlisted theaters.” he added

We hear the 47-year-old had approached the owners of the theaters for permission to promote his new film but was later denied access.   A source said,  “SRK had been granted the permission by the multiplexes and it was duly advertised. But at the last minute, the mall owners reversed their decision. The reason provided by them for making a U-turn was that SRK’s presence would bring in huge crowds of people and that at the last minute, they hadn’t been able to arrange for adequate man power to control the swelling crowds. On national holidays, the footfall nearly doubles. But if he still decided to come, we are ready to welcome him.”

The last time when a big star had come for a visit, it had resulted in a lot of property damage amounting to huge losses for the owners. This time they want to play safe,” added a mall employee.

Maybe next time he should bring his co-star Deepika Padukone along with him…no?

Angelina Jolie Opens up about her Double Mastectomy

Angelina Jolie reveals she underwent a double mastectomy as a preventive measure against breast cancer.

Jolie reveals she had the surgery after discovering she carried a gene that made it extremely likely she would get breast cancer. Angelina made the announcement in the form of a op-ed she authored for the New York Times called “My Medical Choice.”  In there she disclosed why she made the decision and details about when she started the procedure.

“My mother fought cancer for almost a decade and died at 56,” Jolie writes. “She held out long enough to meet the first of her grandchildren and to hold them in her arms. But my other children will never have the chance to know her and experience how loving and gracious she was.” “They have asked if the same could happen to me.”

Jolie said that after genetic testing, she learned she carried the BRCA1 gene and had an 87 percent chance of getting the disease.  She also wanted to keep the process private, and the reason she wrote about it was to help other women.

“I wanted to write this to tell other women that the decision to have a mastectomy was not easy. But it is one I am very happy that I made,” Jolie writes. “My chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87 percent to under 5 percent. I can tell my children that they don’t need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer.”

She continues with details of the procedure. “My own process began on Feb. 2 with a procedure known as a ‘nipple delay,” she writes, “which rules out disease in the breast ducts behind the nipple and draws extra blood flow to the area.” Two weeks later where her breast tissue was removed, she said it felt “like a scene out of a science-fiction film,” then writes that nine weeks later she had a third surgery to reconstruct the breasts and receive implants.”

She then writes about how the surgery has affected her. “I do not feel any less of a woman.” “I feel empowered that I made a strong choice that in no way diminishes my femininity.”

We praise you Angelina. You will always be our kick-ass hero!

Apparently Lindsey is going around telling everybody how karma’s going to bite him in the A$S!

Tsk tsk….poor Lindsey seems to be really upset. She didn’t think Justin had any beef and was utterly shocked when he called her out. Do you guys think Justin is in ANY position to slam anyone?

‘Life of Pi’ actor Irrfan Khan stopped at the airport

Irrfan Khan isn’t too happy with his recent experience with the immigration authorities at the US airports.

“It’s humiliating. They don’t even disclose the reason,” says Irrfan, who is one of the most recognized actors from India. He’s been in films such as the Oscar-winner ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, ‘Life of Pi’ and crowd pleaser ‘Spider-Man’.

Irrfan was detained twice at LAX back in 2008 and JFK in 2009. However, Irrfan isn’t the only Khan to have faced such issues in US airports. Shahrukh Khan also had problems traveling back and forth from India and has been quite vocal about it.

Looks like celebs don’t get special treatment when it comes to safety after all.
