Virgin Produced has teamed up with Capital Venture Fund and Tantrik Group to launch Virgin Produced India, which will create content for the growing Hindi speaking audience in the country. Virgin Produced India will do this by distributing and providing the Hindi speaking population with Hollywood remakes with Hindi content along with Bollywood films.

Based out of Mumbai, Virgin Produced India and Tantrik Group founder Jasbinger Mann, will play the managing role for Virgin Produced India. The CEO and founder of Virgin Produced is excited about their new global venture and had this to say, “We know how to reach a younger demographic,” said Jason Felts, founder & CEO of Virgin Produced. “And we are going to take our unique and successful business model and expand it in Bollywood and throughout India.”

Virgin Produced is responsible for films like Limitless, starring Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro and Machine Gun Preacher with Gerard Butler, to name a couple. Virgins Produced India’s goal is to cater to the growing demands of today’s younger generation in India who love Hollywood movies but do not speak English.

It’s partner, Tantrik Group, is a LA based media and entertainment management firm. Cinema Capital Venture Fund being the largest movie funding source in India, is confident Virgin Produced India will be a success.“With our experience and extensive network in Indian entertainment and media businesses, and Virgin’s knowledge of creative content, we can make Virgin Produced India a huge success,” said Cinema Capital India’s managing director Samir Gupta.

Jay Z Still Won’t Return De Niro’s Calls

After a confrontation at Leonardo DiCaprio’s birthday bash last year, it doesn’t look like Jay Z will be speaking to Robert De Niro anytime soon.

According to sources, Jay Z and De Niro exchanged a few words after the actor confronted the rapper about not returning any of his calls.

When the 43-year old rapper was asked if he was in touch with De Niro, he said: “Who, no, no I haven’t. I treat people based on who they are… Who they REALLY are. Not the name, not Robert De Niro, like, you know, who you are as a person.” Adding, “It doesn’t matter who you are, everyone has to be respectful and everyone has to be a human being. No one is above. That’s just the end of it and that’s how I carry it with anybody.”

Right–so since Jay feels disrespected by Robert De Niro, we’re guessing the two won’t be speaking on the phone in the near future.
