Looks like Kunal Nayyar is one busy man these days. Not only has the British-born, Indian-raised actor starred as awkward physicist Rajesh Koothrappali on hit TV show ‘The BIg Bang Theory‘ for the past seven years, he also has a slew of movies on tap.  Kunal is appearing in ‘Dr. Cabbie‘, produced by Salman Khan, and ‘The Scribbler‘ as well as lending his voice to a character named Gupta in ‘Ice Age 4‘.

Kunal, who initially came to the U.S. to study business and took acting classes as a way to make friends, has truly enjoyed being a part of a hit American sitcom. When talking about his time on ‘The Big Bang Theory‘ Kunal called it “A dream come true. Like Bollywood, it’s extremely difficult to get a break in Hollywood. I have always wanted to be on an American sitcom. Everytime I think about the show, I pinch myself really hard to check if it’s for real. I feel very blessed and humble to be part of the show. This is a special moment in my career.

As for his upcoming films, Kunal said “there’s ‘The Scribbler’, which is a small role. It’s in the horror genre, something that I have been wanting to be a part of. The other is ‘Dr Cabbie‘ that’s produced by Salman Khan. I play a cab driver who’s an interesting character. I loved playing the role.”

Kunal has also said that although he’s currently working only in Hollywood, he hasn’t ruled out performing in Bollywood as he loves Bollywood films and “When the right time and project comes along I’ll definitely want to act in a Hindi film.”  Let’s hope he starts performing in Bollywood films as well and keeps increasing the profile of Indians in Hollywood!

Reportedly Cameron Diaz is set to make her musical debut playing Miss Hannigan in the remake of Annie.

The 40-year old actress who signed on after Sandra Bullock reportedly turned down the role twice, will be starring opposite 9-year old Quvenzhane Wallis, as the tyrant orphanage headmistress.

Oooh….this will be fun to watch. Not sure if Cameron has any vocal talent, but she can be funny.

The film is directed by Will Gluck and is expected to release in late 2014.

Rider Strong may or may not sign on

While Disney is ready to bring the spin-off show to the 90s sitcom, Boy Meets World. Not everyone is on board, well, atleast not yet. It seems most of the main characters have signed on except for Rider Strong, who played the role of “bad boy” Shawn Hunter.

Sources say, Strong isn’t sure if he will sign on to play Shawn for ‘Girl Meets World’ just yet. Rider adds, “There might be a chance to see some of the BMW cast in a guest spot, and I  think it would be nice to find out where our characters have been all these  years. But Girl Meets World will be, and I think it should be, it’s own  show.” “It will be about Cory and Topanga, their daughter, and a new set  of characters … And I, for one, can’t wait to see it evolve.”

Ah, memories!

‘Boy Meets World’ Sequel Series

Thats right! The ’90s sitcom is planning to come back with a grown up Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence. The show will be titled “Girl Meets World” and is said to air on the Disney Channel. I don’t know about you, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a tad bit excited, since I did grow up watching this show.

For those who do not know about the show. Boy Meets World revolves around a American boy, Cory Matthews, who grows up in Philadephia. The show depicts his everyday life from grade school, until he’s all grown up. It’s pretty awesome.
