BIAAG is Plan’s global initiative which launched Oct 11th last year. It’s very purpose is to create sustainable projects in developing countries to give girls access to clean water, food, health care, education and protection from violence and exploitation.

If we educate and empower girls, they will reach their fullest potential, pulling themselves and their families out of every problem they might possibly face” said Pinto.

The 28-year old wants to start a gender sensitization program in Ethiopia to introduce ways of protecting girls through knowledge and skills and to have safe and quality learning environments for all children. She believes gender sensitization programs should start at home so it makes it easier to create awareness.

Amanuel Teferi, the head at Plan Ethiopia said, “She is committed to support Plan Ethiopia by fundraising and by globally announcing its achievements.”

Plan, which was established in 1937, is a children development organization which currently works in 69 countries.
