Hollywood Director Brett Ratner Huge SRK Fan!!!

It looks like there’s a mutual love-fest going on between bigtime Hollywood director Brett Ratner and Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan as the two have exchanged messages on Twitter.  Fresh on the heels of Hugh Jackman voicing his admiration for SRK’s work, Ratner took to social media to let King Khan know he’s also an ardent admirer.

Ratner, who’s known for directing the ‘Rush Hour‘ series along with ‘X-men: The Last Stand‘, posted “@iamsrk I would love to work with you one day!! Big fan!!!” on SRK’s personal Twitter page.  SRK let Ratner know that he’d love that by tweeting back “@BrettRatner Would be my honour. I am an avid follower of your work & a huge fan of your films. Would love to come & see you work on sets one day.

Ratner is currently producing ‘Hercules: The Thracian Wars‘ on location and tweeted back “@iamsrk It would be an honor to have you on one of my sets. I am shooting Hercules now in Budapest for another month. Please be my guest!“. The film stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as the legendary strongman and is slated for a July 25, 2014 release.

No word yet on if SRK has taken up his offer, but we (like most fans) would love to see SRK and Bret team up together for an action flick that would truly bring Bollywood and Hollywood (with lots of explosions, of course…) together!

Hugh Jackman’s Latest, ‘The Wolverine’, Claws Into Theaters This Friday!!!

In a summer filed with superheroes, you don’t want to keep the adamantium-clawed Wolverine on the sidelines, bub.  Hugh Jackman is once again Wolverine in what will be the sixth installment in the X-Men series.  Famke Janssen also briefly reprises her role as Jean Gray, even though audiences saw her die in ‘X-Men:Last Stand‘.

It seems that this time Logan (Wolverine) has to travel to Japan to settle some old scores.  This being a movie based on Frank Miller and Chris Claremont‘s classic 1982 Wolverine series of comics; Japan is of course filled with samurais, ninjas, Yakuza, and other deadly combatants for Wolverine to face.  Oh, and did we mention he loses his ability to heal and recover from pretty much any wound, thus making him mortal?  We’re sure the fur will fly, no pun intended.

Here’s a trailer for ‘The Wolverine‘:

Jackman is known almost as much for achieving the toned physique necessary for playing the Wolverine as the films themselves and this time around is no different.  He spoke of trying to pack more muscle onto his 6’2″ (192cm) frame to emulate the squat muscularity of the Wolverine most comic book fans have come to expect.

Jackman talked of weighing 210 pounds (95.24 kgs) on this movie versus the 190 lbs (86.18 kgs) he did on the last film and having to consume whole chickens in one sitting for the calories necessary.  He also said he’d been told by Darren Arronofsky that “Hey you looked great, but you’re so tall that in those long shots you looked kind of like Clint Eastwood, and that’s not Wolverine.” Jackman added “He said that Wolverine, in the comics, is powerful, stocky, you know, he’s short and thick. So he said, ‘I want you to go there, get bigger.
